I moved mine by sitting it on a heavy blanket and had 2 people pushing and one pulling on the blanket. It slid real easy but I didn't have any carpet to go across.

We (me and dad) used furniture dolleys (2). Took some strain but rather do that again than drop the $450 I was quoted to get it in.

Build another master bedroom/closet around the safe in the garage?? Seriously have seen it done successfully using the pvc roller method.

Keep has the right answer.......I worked in the commercial moving business for 15 years and have moved tons of safes this way. You just need to be able to tilt it back enough to get the first few under it. I also recommend taking a 1/4 sheet of plywood and cut (4) 2'X4' pieces to roll the safe on once you get it to the house. It will keep it from tearing up your floor and if you have to roll over carpet it will definitly make it easy. With this method you should easily be able to push the safe anywhere you want it. To make turns start the rods at angles as you set them down. I would recommend having about 10 rods.

i moved one for my father in law and used a piece of carpet. the carpet was about 2 and a half foot wide. it had a 2x4 screwed to it and rolled up a couple of times. i pushed while he pulled the 2x4 it went across carpet and hardwood floor no problem.

We used a dolly for mine but it didn't have to go very far. With two or three grown men you should be able to do it yourself. Just make sure you have plenty of clearance and use your brain.

Heck, if an Egyptian could build a pyramid, surely you can do this... My wife and I (mostly I) moved mine and it was about the same size as yours. (I think my other testicle is still in the garage somewhere)

Get 3 lengths of used carpet about 6 feet long each and a little wider than the safe. put one under the safe and leave enough to get a good hold of to pull on. Get 4 superslides (the big ones) and put one under each corner under the carpet it's sitting on. Then have someone pulling and pushing. You will be able to slide the safe on the other 2 carpet runners and just keep rotating them as you complete each 6 foot move.

We have always used golf balls to move all of our safes that size.

I'm building a new house now with a false wall and a hidden door.Behind the wall will be 4 safes bolted togeather, floor and walls. Hope it works. Been broken into twice, lost a lot. I hate thieves.
