Another "Look how tough deer are"....thread

I shot this deer a couple of weekends but didn't recover him. I think it was a combination of the fact that I was aiming a little too high and he ducked a little to much. I got a complete pass through on a downward shot and he was slightly quartered away. No blood on the arrow but a lot of grease.

He was seen by my buddy a week later pushing does with a slight limp

They sure are tough Brother!!! I shot a nice 10 last year up high and he shook it off after 40 yards...we got him on video standing there after the shot kinda looking around trying to figure out what the heck happend. My buddy killed him 2 weeks later.

                  You will get another chance!!!

My buddy, Caleb, shot a real nice buck out at our Ranch in Williamson County. All we found was "grease" on the arrow after a complete pass through, 3 small drops of blood after 3 hours of looking. A week later, he ran across our road in front of my truck with no problems. I have seen him twice since, with no issues.

                            Tough animals, for sure.
