And I dont see the need for all the smartass comments. This country has gone to hell in a hand basket where the consumer means nothing and it is "cool" to be sarcastic, or a smartass.
What dont you understand about that?

And I am not sure there is a federal law that says you can't return a gun, because I have returned a few guns over the years with no problems, so I think it is a store not wanting to do the paperwork.

If I'm wrong show me the LAW Not the store policy.

Your all taking the side of a retailer who chose to sell a product that was good enough to make a profit off of but not good enough to exchange if it was defective.
The **** thing would not perform the task it was sold to do, so give the man what he PAID for!!!!!!!!

And one more thing, I dont see too many people legally buying a gun shooting someone with it and then taking it back to the retailer for a refund, that is just stupid to even suggest that would be a concern. Pretty sure if ya got away with the actual murder you would find a better way to dispose of the weapon. And then theres the whole paper trail thing, so try again.

Just too lazy to do the paperwork, so I am still wating on the factual reasoning for a no return policy.

How is sending a gun back to the manufacturer any different then a trolling motor. They send it back and get a credit for it, so what liability do they have? The paperwork is the only thing.

My issue is with anyone that would say" What dont you understand about a no return policy". It is an unacceptable policy and is not clearly stated in all cases and there is no real reason for it.
I will not buy from a retailer that will not take back a defective item within a few days, I can see 30 days and if the Item has been damaged in any way, but the **** thing had a defective firing pin.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND TOO MANY ARE ACCEPTING THIS CRAP AND IT WILL KEEP GETTING WORSE AS LONG AS YOU DO.

Last time I checked trolling motors were not regulated by the Federal Government. And a gun manufacturer does not credit you on guns. They have to repair them. Once something is repaired it can no longer be sold as new. Lost money if you sell as used. Let it go.

little bit off topic, but can you get the different barrels anymore to fit those rossi youth models?

Yes, but I dont think Academy sells them. You have to get them from Rossi.

Thats what the guy at the Academy in College Station told me last week. (Not sure if just that store doesnt sell the barrels or if no Academy stores sell them)

As far as I know you have to send in the gun and get the barrel "fitted" to the gun. I don't know about Rossi, but with H&R and New England you can buy the barrel straight from them.

Is the hammer hitting the scope?

Unless they have changed, you must send barrel back to NEF and have it fitted also.

The thing about it is, it really doesn't matter what you think about their return policy, they don't owe squat for an explanation. Very simply their business, their rules. And in the same breath you have the option to take your business elsewhere.

                          Capitalism is a beautiful thing.
