      thanx, I don't shoot a gun enough to know the ins & outs of basic scope adjustment outside of the 100 yard increments.

        I have been told that point of impact at 25 yards and point of impact at 100 yards are the same- one the bullet is rising the other the bullet is falling. Shorten to 25 yards and then click how many you are supposed to for 100 yards.

          I really depends on the caliber and other factors.

          Most rifles that are large enough to kill a deer are rising to meet the line of sight with the scope out to 100 yards. I would bet a .243 would fall into this category as well.

          Too much variation to say for sure that is why so many have suggested to site the gun in at 100 yards.
