Isnt the Frogville area where that big buck was poached last year that turned up about 100+ big racks in the poachers attic, including an elk rack that was killed illegally??

TBH's own Lance had a GC pic of the deer that was killed illegally last year, and cooperated fully with the investigation. This buck has some eerily similar features IMO.

Earlier this week there were some pics posted on here of some fine Texans holding a buck they didn't kill... I don't see the big deal.

Not to mention everybody rushes to the area and trys to lease up the land.....You ever try getting a lease In Grayson County Tx??????

There are many reasons to keep quiet about a harvest location on a great buck......
You just hit the nail on the head. When you live/hunt in a state where the fines for poaching are less than the cost of a lease, would you let anyone see what you shot??? We learned our lesson the hard way when we lost our lease to an outfitter who pretended to be a friend, just to find out what kind of deer we were seeing. This ain't Texas folks...

You are wrong, read it again...thats why it is called a DRYING PERIOD...you can freeze it all you want, but in order to get a final score on the antlers it has to go through a drying period of 60 days...

Ok, evey time a big deer is taken the poaching critics come out, Im not saying it was or wasnt poached and I have my doubts as well but inncoent untill proven guilty. Im not standing up for this guy by no means but as a hunter is hurts a bit to see my fellow hunters jumping on the bandwagon of "It was Poached" it happens every time a big deer is killed. Its like saying a guy that won the lottery that didnt want anyone to know he won is a crooked criminal, not really, he just didnt want his name in the spotlight and this happens a lot now days..

Please dont think I was accusing any one of any wrong doings. I was just thinking I had heard that area mention in a poaching incident last year.

Maybe I should hunt that area again....bwahahahahahahahahahahaha. On the phone now.

The only land I have access to is by the Goodland School and old boys home.

I guess the "big deal" to me would be that my thunder might be stolen. Pics posted all over the internet with other people holding my deer claiming that they killed it....hogzilla comes to mind....
