depends are where and what I am hunting. Also how excited I am. Once I was in my tree 2:45 minutes before I could see my hand in front of my face. On average i am on stand at least 45 minutes before I can shoot or see.
Morning, feeder goes off at 7:20. I'm in the stand at 6ish.
Afternoons, first feeding goes off at 4:20 and I'm there at 3:30
Rifle hunting:
6:30 in the morning
3:45 in the evening.
Rifle blind is on the top of a peninsula overlooking a creek bed, 2 tanks and my feeder. My bow blind is behind my feeder between the 2 tanks. I can sneak into my rifle blind while deer are in the feeder and never be seen. (with a cooler of beer of course!)
Judging from the date of this thread....about an hour before sunrise 5 months ago.
OR
Drag in from the dance hall at about 0330, shower, dress, throw some food, about 10 bottles of water, and some toilet paper in the war bag and head to the stand. Catch a nap until sunrise.
