Because you can train a monkey to shoot a deer with a rifle. Just kidding guys!

Bow hunt because not everyone can do it. Lost interest in sitting in a tower and pulling trigger. The bow is a whole new ballgame. I've said it before, I'm 59 and started last year and wished I had started years ago.

About 7 or 8 years ago I killed 2 bucks within 7 days with a rifle. I didn't get the shakes or any bit of buck fever. As I was cleaning that last deer I made a decision that our lease was bow only from then on. I haven't looked back since and all of us on the lease are having much more fun. I always said "when I don't get nervous I'll quit" and I did (haven't picked up a rifle to hunt since that day.)

Bow hunting is the ultimate challenge of wits and skill period. You will never realize how easy rifle hunting is until you bow hunt. Still enjoy shooting just mostly paper and varmints these days.

                1. Because it's extremely hard to get close enough to take a deer with a knife.
                2. My dad only bow hunts, so that's all I've known; luckily I love it.
