Like everyone said it is a challenge. With a rifle you can be 200 or more yards from a deer and kill it. With a bow you have to be 30, and then it is much more rewarding, even if it is just a doe.

The sound, getting close, blending in! It's a game, and they are good at it. The game you hunt is fast , able and always on edge. It feels good to get right up on them , in their house, having not a clue your there! And of course, the bone crushing sound your broadhead makes when you connect! It's the ****! it's a big part of who I am, I will never give it up!

CUZ I LUV IT!!
I had only gun hunted most of my life, we didn't have a lease & the lease that our friends would invite us to changed to bow only ... I thought I was screwed for huntin. Muzzlebrake bought me my first bow & I've been hooked ever since!! Killed a turkey first time out ... first fling of an arrow at an animal
Better than killin him was his buddies beatin him up after he was shot!!!
Ya just can't beat it ... even now when I sit & sit (even sat in the rain already this year) & sit & they just don't come in close enough ... jerks ... just teasin me ... but I know where they live

Just as said before, I do it for the sense of accomplishment and getting close.
There is nothing like sitting on the ground in a brush pile camo'd head to toe, wondering how the doe 3 yards from you can't hear your heart beating, hoping your stomach doesn't growl.......
Oh and HogDude.......There are already enough Rage threads

Cause it's not as hard on my ears and it's just who I am.
The gun hunters on my lease are a confusing lot too. You can have a "cull" and a "trophy" in the same pic and they will refer to the "cull" as a good bow buck but not the "trophy".
Sharp pointy sticks for me until death do us part!
