    Mountain Lion Sightings

Is it just me or has their been alot more mountain lion sightings lately? I would like to know who has seen or had a good source to confirm a sighting or kill in the last year and in what county?

This cat was killed last year in Junction ( Kimble County).

We have seen at least five cats walking around in the afternoon hours, caught three more on game cameras, and I had one growl at me from about ten yards away...all since last season. We hunt in Tyler County. I am now hunting cats at least half of the time I am at the lease.

What call did you use? I used a rabbit in distress call in the area where a 150-200 lb. cat was seen, which happens to be exactly where one growled at me. I had foxes, bobcats and a wolf come to it. I didn't shoot any of them because I was after one animal and one animal only!

Absolutely. At first, I thought it was an extremely large coyote barreling in until he got closer to me. It was the first time I had ever seen one but it was definitely a wolf...unless it was a mammoth dog that looked just like a wolf. Ironically, the very next day, our neighbors to the south of us asked if we had seen any wolves because they had found wolf tracks.

Saw one in Tom Green county by Lake Nasworthy one time off Red Bluff Road, wife says I'm crazy because she didn't but I know there have been quite a few sightings out that way.

Growing up here in Henderson County, a friend of mine had two timber wolf dogs, a male and a female. It kinda freaked me out the way they would walk up and down the pen fence when us kids were outside playing. They ended up getting out, but i have never heard of anyone seeing them. Kinda crazy the stuff you can come across out in the woods.

                      Tom Green County

Found a fresh killed 6 point two years ago on our place in northern Tom Green county. Had a buddy get one on a camera in southern Runnels county. But I have never heard or seen one, but we did lose a huge portion of our goat kid crop that year. Pretty sure it was bobcats, but maybe they had help???

Heard one scream one night calling with my dad and his buddies in the Ft Davis area when I was young....never seen anybody jump in the front of a pickup so fast!!!!!!

We have found some very large tracks on our property. We have been told that they exist by the old neighbors. We have setup cameras and the like. If we confirm will post. ReDNeQ Ranch is connected to the Balcones Wildlife Refuge in the Corner of Travis/Williamson County.
