I have to really twist her arm to get her to go.

sometimes she acts like she likes it, but I know she's just being nice about it.

My wife grew up in SoCal all her life, but mom's side of family is from Kentucky so "country" is in her blood and likes to camp. She's has never been out hunting with me but has commented about wanting to shoot "something". I'm planning on taking her out this year, but I'm thinking it will be "love it" or "hate it". situation.

Mine's from Fargo, which is about as big city as North Dakota gets. She's nannied for some rich folks, lived in Scotland, England, and lived in some pretty nice places. When we bought our place in Graham it was her idea to move out here and live in our 27' travel trailer until we could build a house. She loves the outdoors when it's convenient. She has shot skeet with me and wants to dove hunt. Sometimes she's a little reluctant to try something new, but usually gets over it. She must love me a bunch.

well lets see, the second biggest shock of my life i was hunting in sonora area and my wife went along,(she even shot a doe), was when i was cleaning one she reached right down to the elbows and helpped me clean it!! ( first shock was when she said yes!).
got another good one when she killed a hog with a bow and wouldnt stay behind while myself and a friend tracked it, she went every step. then helped clean it!!! the next biggest shock came today,, she has stayed with me for 25 wonderful years,,, my city girl has gone a little bit country!!
when i married her i never thought she wuld come around like she has,, she doesnt care for a gun hunt or even deer much,, but she sure likes to hunt pigs!!

My wife is great. She wouldn't have any part of "deer camp", but I don't push her. When hunting season rolls around, she NEVER complains about me being gone. Once in awhile, she will ask if I can take a weekend off so she can do something with her girl friends (so I can keep the kids). She doesn't really complain about how much football I watch either. She does like to camp and so do the kids. She will never touch a bow or a gun and I guess if she has no interest that's okay. She's a trooper and the love of my life. She is way too good to me. AND on top of all that, she's hot. I'm a lucky man!!!

Mine went once. That was enough for her. I think it was something about our outdoor plumbing setup that didn't set well with her. O well...

Mine is no city girl. She doesn't like to shop, except for hunting stuff, has no interest in a closet full of fansy shoes and dresses, comes to the deer camp with me 2 or 3 times per season (I go every weekend), and she helps me process whatever wild game I bring home. Yeah, I've got it made.

Same thing exactly for me. She has her own lease spot this year. We went hog dogging with cantexduck ealier this year and she walked up to a boar and stuck it in the heart with no hesitation. She says she can't wait to do it again. First impressions, people assume city girl all the way, but she is a country girl at heart

When I met my wife she had a lifted 4 x 4 Dodge 3/4 ton pickup , a 38 snubbie strapped on her ankle under her jeans, a 140 lb Rottie in her living room. She owned her own home and a garage full of camping gear and worked in the defense Industry making WMD's . The only thing I could find wrong with her was the fact that she was from California.

Well I thought I had won the lottery, well I was wrong, she never went camping with me until we bought a toy hauler so she could have a bathroom , shower and hard sides to protect her from the elements.

So 42k later we go on an elk hunt , took the trailer of course and our dog so she could have company while I was out hunting. The first morning she was Ok , the second morning not so much. By the second night I left the trailer and the dog there. Loaded her up in the truck and drove 6 hours to take her home, and then 6 hours back so I could continue my elk hunt. I have never asked her to go camping , or hunting or any kind of overnight trip to the woods again.

So fast forward about 3 years, I have a quad that I ride out in the desert here in AZ. a lot. I took her riding one day for just a little while. She liked it , wanted a quad of her own. So 7k later she has a nice Artic CAT 4 X 4. rides it about 20 hours. We always ride together cause she has no experience. I finally think OK she can do this. So her GF from California comes to visit. They want to go riding. We take off , I get them set up, food water, radios, telephones, helmets. Off they go An hour later I get the phone call the wife has rolled her quad broke her ankle generally screwed up her body from the helmet down. I rush to get to where they are. Took me 10 minutes to get to where it took them an hour to get to. Shes screwed up bad, real bad. I call 911 , tell them not to screw around send me medavac right now !! So 2 hours later they get there , fly her to town. She lived over it and is OK now. Hasn't riden the quad since then and most likely never will. I don't see me asking her to go with me any more , and I'm sure she doesn't mind that at all.
