My wife ( a city girl through and through) has recently grown to like camping. (since I bought a travel trailer for the lease
). We have some friends that we like to camp with and they have been pestering us to camp during the cooler fall temps. I finally caved in and agreed to give up a weekend during hunting season. I told them the second weekend of October would be best for me. (This is due to the early part of bow season was the slowest on our lease last year). Well, the time is now here and I have to go camp when my heart would much rather be hunting for a bruiser.
I am thinking this should work out for me in the long run. We have been married over 21 years and last year was the first time she had ever gone to the deer lease with me. I am hoping this weekend sacrifice might give me a little leverage towards getting a second visit from the little lady at the lease. I know she enjoyed herself last year as my hunting buddy's wife and kid was there and the two ladies were together pretty much the entire time. Of course when I asked her on the way home when she would come back, her response was that she thought she had had enough deer camp to last her for the rest of her life.
Does anyone else have a city girl wife that doesn't appreciate hunting camp? I need some help on how to win her over to the woods.
