    How high can pigs Jump?

Okay guys I need some expert advise. I have major pigs on my new deer lease. I want to put panels around my feeder for obvious reasons. I have some cattle panels that have been cut in half and are 25" high. I really dont want to spend a bunch of cash on more cattle panels. Will 25 " keep them out? I have never seen a pig jump very high however O.J got of inocent so I guess anything is possible. Thank you for your feedback.

If you got 25" panels I would use them. It may not keep the really big hogs out but it will keep the majority of them out.

if you were buying all new panels I would say buy the 36" panels but again, use it if you got it.

        I am with stins answer.

However at the Sabinal Hog Festival I saw hogs clear 5' fences. But they were highly motivated at the time.

If than can't jump them, they will climb. I've got panels covered with mud were they climb over and mine are the 48'' ones.

I had one climb, not jump, over a 5' panel trap

I just had 2 climb out of a trap 3' high, they had to push pvc crossbars on the top to climb out between the metal bars. Pigs are smart and can definitely climb. Problem with a fence is they can dig under it too.

The expression "when pigs fly" comes to mind. LOL

Good luck keeping them out, they're crafty creatures.

I can only jump about 18" vertical. Thanks for asking.

had hogs come on our camphouse porch and rip up about 500# of corn. the camphouse is surrounded by a well built fence that is three foot high. like mary said, if they want it, they are going to get it.

I have a barb wire fence around my feeder to keep cows away. The hogs go right through the wire and broke 2 strands. However, I killed 2 of them and loved the new hunting opportunity that pigs bring for year round hunting. Not only do i want them to come to my feeder, I want them to bring their buddies. I love the pan sausage and they offer a good hunt. I just built a feeder light that i will hook up after deer season and then hunt pigs year round in 2008. Woody
