Just gotta vent for a minute

I called CCR last week and asked them what they charge for the indoor ranges. The guy on the phone told me it was $10.00 and hour for the 20 yd field tip, 20 yd broadhead and upstairs 30 yd field tip. So a friend and I went I believe on monday and told the guy at the counter we wanted to shoot and he tried to tell uss it was $15.00 for the broadhead range and another guy at the counter said " no, its $10 for all the ranges indoors". Ok - so I went back today and Ken was at the counter and he said the same thing, " field points are $10 and hr and broadheads are $15 an hr". I told him what they said last week and he said "they were wrong". So I signed in and shot broadhead for about 20 minutes and signed out, then signed in for field points and shot for 20 minutes. I got ready to pay and told him I got 30 minutes on each lane. He said $27.62 . I said no I got half hr on each one. He said" it dont matter if you shoot 5 minutes or 55 minutes , its an hour charge , then charged tax on top of that. I didnt know you could charge tax on something like that. And I thought it was wrong for charging a full hour on each lane. Regardless , his attitude lost them a customer, I wont go back. For that price and the gas to get there I can buy my own targets.
OK sorry, I am done venting now.

Sorry about your bad experience. I am pretty sure this is the first time I have heard of anyone venting about CCR. I have never been there, but I sure am going to get my butt up there as soon as I can to check the place out and shoot a little.

It is bad form to bash a Sponsor on an open forum.......you had a bad experience, voiced your concern, and took your toys home. That should be it.....my .02 cents

you probably should have asked to talk to the owner.

Thanks for the heads up! Doesn't matter who they are, bad business is bad business. I'm sure there are satisfied folks also, just not in this scenario....

I don't understand the problem. Every rifle range I have ever used charged an hour minimum no matter how long you shot.

                        Not an hour per gun

Instead of griping just go shoot at one of the other indoor broadhead ranges in the area.

Alpine and pigeon road used to charge by the hour. Haven't been in year but they used too

They should post the policies and rates. If you had known the rules going in, I imagine you'd have shot longer and gotten your money's worth. I understand a one hour minimum, but am surprised they charged it for EACH range. Since you only shot an hour in total, it seems like they would just charge you one hour on the more expensive of the two ranges and let that cover your time on the cheaper range too. It's their right to run their business the way they see fit, but that policy has the potential to make a lot of resentful customers.
