    Hey they say that if you use your brian it lasts longer. less likely to get "old". so either do the NY Times crosswords or some math problems..lol

        Is this to help determine your shooting angle? Can't think of any other reason to use trig.

                What in the world are you guys talking about? Does this concern the flight of the arrow or the energy the bow produces?!

                  Same here! He gives us 3 new formulas a day and says "Now, y'all need to memorize that one". :/

                      I totally understand! I had to take remedial courses before I was even allowed to take College Algebra. Hang in there...It gets easier.

                        I've been working in biological statistics for the past week and my brain is fried.

                          In finding the Cosecant and Cotangent of an angle, this is what I have:

                          Csc= 17
                          ____
                          2 sq root 30

                          Cot= 13
                          ____
                          2 sq root 30

                          I know that they cant be left that way, but do I multiply both the top and the bottom by 2 sq root 30 or just sq root 30? Any help from a math guru? Some of my trig class is easy and some hard. Would help to have a professor that wanted to make sure we understand. He just goes too fast. Thanks and no laughing!!!

                          BTW....Hyp= 17, Adj= 13 and Opp = 2 sq root 30

                            Good luck, would not know what to do with those numbers, except add, roughly about near 30.

                              You will use a little trig in Cal 1, but you will have to know College Algebra like the back of your hand. Most people don't make it through Cal 1 due to the algebra, rather than the actual Calculus.

                                You have to rationalize the denominator. Multiply top and bottom by (SQR(30)). You will get (17(SQR(30)) over 60 for csc. And for cot you will get 13(SQR(30)) over 60 if I remeber right.
