The difference of course is the buffalo were a native species and these hogs are not.

See...in one way I would love to live in an area that had hogs...it beats the are I live in with the drug dealers and hookers.
As far as for the city / HOA saying that I can't shoot them...fine, you wont see me shoot them...because it will be at 11 or so at night...just saying. And if I get fined, then I will turn around and send them the bill it takes for me to plant more grass, bushes...etc.

I saw a dead hog on the side of Barker Cypress near 529 this morning (Copperfield/Cypress, TX area). Never seen that in the 20 years I've lived here.
I don't care how much it would help, I don't want any of the yeahoos around my house hunting pigs in the subdivision. I understand that it is just to help out the infestation but the argument that some are making that we should be able to hunt them in the city means that anyone will be able to hunt them. I would rather have to re-do my landscape two times a year than have stray rounds hit the house.

The problem is...all it takes is for some idiot to start throwing lead and we all get lumped in with him. I live in North Mo. and all the neighbors let me hunt, no problem...Now a few "road hunters" came around and shot up signs, buildings, and hit a few cows...and everything is closed to hunting. My neighbor said, "I cant let you hunt...YOU HUNTERS shoot at everything"...sure hate being lumped up with that trash, but that is the way it happens....Shoe
