On the spider, I'd rather tackle a mad hog with nothing but a loincloth and a bone in my nose than run into a freakin spider and it's web.

Okay, seriously, I've been bowhunting for over 20 years and have yet to carry a gun in the field with me or even felt like I needed to and NO, Bobby does not walk me to my blind.

I've encountered hogs, javi popping their jaws, snakes, spiders, quail, bull bats, yotes, a large field rat, mice, big black cows and have seen several illegals, but didn't feel threatened by any of them. Just be cautious, respect them and move about your way.

I have to agree that a covey of quail will scare the poo out of you and can cause you to slam your head into a branch! Also, being without a flashlight after midnight in a pasture full of black cows is not much fun either.

Just wondering if any of you have ever been attacked or know of anyone or any news reports of an hog actually injuring a person. Ive been injured on one spinning but I was grabbing ahold of his back legs with dogs baying his face. Just wondering if anyone has witnessed any of the hog attacks or is it all third- fourth- friend of a cousins neighbor type deals.

Had a monster sow charge me and my cousin in an open pasture and it scared the you know what out of me. She had a bunch of little piglets with her and we bumped her slipping across an old hay field. She charged to within 5 yards and then turned around and took off. I am sure if she would have attacked if we were messing with her babies.
