For BBQ go to Pit Stop on 69s just outside the loop, get an Ivy Special (BBQ frito pie) Burgers for me is Zest E Burger by the hospital but most people prefer moms diner or Rays. for mexican food, especially breakfast buritos go to the mexiqueen (dont know the real name) its on Timberland drive by the firestone shop. also north 69 towards central has a good mexican place on the right. Petes place between Lufkin and Huntington has the BEST catfish all you can eat on Sunday (homeade tarter sauce is to die for) and for just an everyday lunch you cannot beat deans meat market in Huntington. Chicken Fried steak has to be cotton patch. chinese food is Chens on timberland

I was just about to recommend a trip to Florida's Kitchen in Livingston but I doubt you would want to make a trip like that for some little old BBQ ribs, brisket, sausage, and catfish. Not to mention the Italian Cream cake, german chocolate cake, carrot cake, pecan pie, lemon pie, and the lemonade. Nah, not worth the trip!

Guess I need to start going east instead of west. Groveton seems to be slim pickings and I hate driving to Crockett for some reason. I've heard about Mom's, just never made it out that way.

Man that sounds like a place worth stopping at the next time I go through Livingston.

It is! West on 190 to the light past WalMart, then left on 350. They are on the right in the curve about a mile down. You won't be sorry.
