Had one in one of the corn feeder barrels last weekend. I am sorry to say she did not make it. I use Demon WP around the house and barn. Spray twice a year and have not found anymore in the barn and they used to be pretty common.

I am spooked of bees and spiders right now. Something hit me just under the arm over two weeks ago. It looked more like a bee sting than a spider bite so I didn't worry too much. Redness about the size of a half dollar. After 24 hrs some swelling and redness half the size of your hand. After 48 hours more swelling and redness the size of a large man's hand from fingertip to wrist. Decided to check with the doc. He said benadryl and neosporin. After a day it started to heal. But after two weeks you can still see some redness and a little hole that scabbed over. Still not sure what got me.

Got my share of the black widows here too, hate the things and kill all I can.

I found about 10 or 20 in my ground blind a couple of weeks ago before I put it out. They get killed quickly when I see them.

On another note we used to have a batting cage in a storage building. We had hundreds of Black Widows in there. I told the owner who called an exterminator. I opened up the building for the exterminator and he told me that if you see one, you'll usually see a bunch. He said that they will become an infestation in no time flat.

Keep that in mind. By the way, I never saw another at the batting cage after the exterminator sprayed.

The weekend that we worked on our blinds and feeders we probably killed 5 or 6 BW and atleast 2 rattlers just not something else I want to deal with in 100 degree heat.
