Would you rather have bucks or does visiting your feeders now?

Lol,its time right now for the does to start showing up to feed with the fawns. I noticed our does started bringing the fawns to the area outside our pens this past week!

they definitely hit it hard, I know it's only protein in a bag but better then eating pine needles, gonna fill it all up again this weekend..little camera seems to be hanging in there.

To be honest a mixture. Earlier this summer I wanted to see as many does and fawns at the feeder as possible so they would recover and build up strength. Later this summer around now and september I wanna see bucks bucks bucks. Deer have a very regular summer and early fall pattern before they become pressured. I look forward to catching that first shooter buck at my feeder every opening weekend of bow season and shooting him before he get nervous and heads underground the rest of the year.

i like the bucks now to get me excited, and then closer to opener, does. the bucks will make it to the area if you can hold the does. unfortunately, we usually hold the bachelor groups and come rut time, its a ghost town. and we even had year round corn and food plots.
