Liberally apply lighter fluid to affective area and let it soak in for a few minutes. Than light with match. After lit, use ice pick to put out fire

I hate chiggers. Hope you find relief soon.

Negative grasshoppah... old wives tale. They're long gone by the time you start itching.

It's kinda ironic that a guy with the screen name of "bug" has a chigger problem!

That sounds like it might work.

Can't suffocate what is not there. nail polish/new skin does nothing more than close the wound....but it does help the itching

There ain't no killing chiggers that aren't there. By the time you notice a bite, they are long gone.

Any anti-itch stuff will work. I found that a posion ivy itch spray worked well for me when I got into them real bad a couple years ago.

However, the only real cure is time. Some items stated above will make you more comfortable, but the itching will really only go away after a couple days.

                        That's Right.

Scratch until you bleed. Then apply a liberal amount of rubbing alcohol. Scream like a little girl for five minutes. Then relax as you are cured.
                        Pain I can take.

                        It's the itch I cain't stand.

I have always just put a coating of clear nail polish on each one and they suffocate and die in a day or two.

Once you "think you have chiggers", it's too late. They're already gone. All you can do is treat the wound.
