    Well here is an update.

I am going to try "THE ELIMINATOR" feeder plate

Karl at Ultramatic ( http://www.ultramaticfeeders.com/) has these and I am very impressed with them. So much so I installed one Friday and took the cage off my feeder. It mounts tight to the bottom and a coon can spin all he wants nothing is coming out. He can't pull it down, heck I can only get it down using two hands just right. But turn it on and and it comes down and slings corn nicely.

Take a look, it is very cool..

I do not think most Varmits have the correct amount of fingers, or the bending ability in those fingers to properly make the *******.

Different application, I'd appreciate your comments.

I have a series of smallish beaver dams just downstream of a surface road crossing. The pond has lately been getting 2' deep, 30' across, not a big problem in summer, impassable in winter when it freezes. I've been crossing the same creek for twelve years, this is the first time the beavers have dammed so close to and flooded the crossing.

I've twice removed the dams with a pick while wading in the water, only to have the beaver completely rebuild the dams overnight. So unless I get rid of the beavers I can't get rid of the dams and pond. I need to dry out the area so I can get a backhoe in to modify the stream to prevent more dam building.

It occurred to me than an electric fence strung over the breached dams would deter the beaver from rebuilding. Would the Havahart Electric Fence Charger work for this?

              What do you think?
