I have no answer to your question but I do love the way they look. My problem is I hunt in e. texas primarily where rattlers aren't a big problem. Seems like they are more needed in s. texas

I had to buy 13's to get my calves in them. I have to put on regular socks and thick socks to make them comfortable. It is about time for a new pair so I might need to do the same thing. Thick socks in the summer cook my feet.

I'm in also. Mine rub the fur off the back of my legs. Justins don't even come close to fitting. My chips have a million miles on them. Need some new ones. Anybody seen the new square toed ones?

I have heavy legs and the Rocky lace ups fit my big legs, the flap in front barely closes under the laces, they're not leather but have worn well for about 10 years, I replaced the factory laces with parachute cord that's long enough now to wrap around the top before I tie the knot.

A boot maker can do whatever you are willing to pay for.

same issue here....I bought Danner covey boots, problem solved. They have a ton of calf room and you can adjust it.

I bought the Danner's and I have the opposite problem. It's hard to admit on a public forum but I suffer from an affliction known as "Chicken Leg Syndrome" I cinch the top strap all the way and they are still too big.

I'm with you, jerp.....I can't remotely imagine my calves filling up a pair of Chippewas!! But I have to look at the bright side, at least I don't need to have my boots altered!

Smitty, at Brush Country Bowhunting told me that he buys Justin snake boots from the Justin outlet and they will put an upper from a larger boot, on his size lower. Don't know how many people you'd have to bribe to get this done, but could be an option.
Ah I havent heard that name in ages! I built alot of his high fence out there! He is a good guy... and funny that he does that because he got all of us pairs and i had to get the same thing done on them... this was like 6 years ago... He runs a good organizaation out there and thats where I shot my first pig and got me into bowhunting!

If you ever walk out one morning to the stand and that copperhead or moc. in the middle of the trail hits you, you will see why some folks wears them everywhere all the time.

I guess I am the only person on here that does not like his Chips, they are very comfy if I don't have to do a lot of walking especially in the heat. Once my feet start sweating or I walk a lot (more than a mile non stop) they start rubbing my feet bad. Tried the Rocky version "Maverick" and the same thing. Had to go to a lace up pair, harder to get on and off but they are like wearing tennis shoes but a little hotter.

I keep most everything I have until I wear them out, I switch between all three pair depending on my activities, one pair is in my turkey hunting storage box, one pair at the ranch and one pair here at home.

                              not looking to sell.

I used to wear one of my three pairs of steel toed hi-tec magnum boots when doing anything out in the sticks if I wasn't wearing snake boots...since getting my Chippewa's, I have not worn a bear of my magnums in like two years....soon as I hit the gate, on go the Chippewas, all crusty, mud covered with traces of pig, turkey, deer and fish entrails all over....little coon pee and some cow pie flavoring to help cover up....best hunting boots EVER!
