    T-bar they will grow well in pots. As mentioned above if you keep them watered after freeze they will typically put back out the next spring. I always pull a few at the end of season and freeze then the next spring crumble the seed back into a pot and they will grow from there. They are really hot.

      I think the "pequin" just means small (or some variation) in spanish

        When I was really young (like 3) we had a plant in a pot on the front porch. I asked my dad about them and he told me they were Easter egg seeds and not to eat them. Naturally, as soon as he wasn't looking I picked a hand full and popped them. I remember my Dad and Uncle laughing hysterically and my mother getting really mad at him.

          Awsome. We grind them up and cut fresh tomatos juice and all and put it on some carnitas or redfish on the half shell.

              Wylie, I have sprouted them several years this way. I have picked the peppers and froze them over the winter. I have just left the peppers on the plant through the winter and crumbled them in a pot the next spring as well.

                They grow all over the place here in South Texas. They are good and will not mess up your stomach like Jalapeños do.

                      I used to dry them in the dehydrator - run them through the coffee grinder - and put them in a pepper shaker. Whoo wee those are hot....

                          if you eat them one at a time with food in your mouth you will enjoy them and eventually kinda get addicted to them fertilize them and they can get too hot especially if you crush them in a molcajete and try to make a hot sauce out of it..just something to torture your buddies with...ENJOY

                            I have 4 or 5 of these growing in the yard, allways called them bird peppers. the birds eat them & poop out the seeds on the fence lines. got 1 in the ground I can dig up for someone...

                              I have a lawn service in the San Antonio area and just about all the yards have one or more of the plants in the flower beds where something has cast the seeds. Don't know if it's birds, squirrels, possums, or what.

                                I really likem, they're hot, but the burn seems to go away pretty quick unlike a jalapeno or habanero.
