Never used my degree for anything but to prop the door open to get my foot in.

BS in Biology, concentration in Marine Sciences.
Minor in Oceanography. Worked on sportfishing boats for 12 years and then moved to DFW. Not much here for a Marine Degree. Working it out though and trying to find a niche.

I have a Bachelors in Animal Science and I am in the deer feeder business, so my degree doesn't really apply to my current job, but it got me jobs that led to this one.

Full ride to TCU on a Football Scholarship. BS in Sports & Recreation. Came to the ranch after graduation, started working and never left. Wouldn't change a thing...but it feels good knowing I have a degree to fall back on if I one day need/want too.

ok, I will sound off. I have an animal science degree. I managed horse farms for 15 years. So check "used it"

Now I am a forensic scientist. While the industry prefers hard science degrees (biology, chemistry, bio-chem) I got in due to the BS degree. I don't use animal science anymore, but I use a ton of scientific theory and testing. So check "still using it".

I think any degree can be useful no matter if it appears to have anything to do with your current occupation. College (or trade schools) teaches you how to learn, adapt, and think. The most useful skills I learned besides these were logic and how to research info.

I got my degree in Agricultural Development and have applied to Medical School this year. I think I will be the first Ag Devo major in the history of TAMU to become a M.D.

                                Totally NOT related.
