I am looking at the Bushnell Trophy cams and I am wondering if it is worth the extra money to get the 8 mega pixel instead of the 5 mega pixel which I can still get for $160 on natchezss.com?

The megapixels are not the seller for me...check the SD card capacity. Me being 5 hours away, and having a large deer population, I can fill a 2GB card up ( like the $160 one on Natchez) in 3-4 weeks set on 1 pic every 4 minutes. That's 1800ish pics....I think the new ones let you have a 8GB or 16GB card.
Now if you deer pops are low or you live close to your lease this won't be a concern and the cheaper one will be fine..
But I sure would like to be able to go every two months during TC season versus once a month like I am now with the once with higher capacity. $140 in fuel roundtrip just to check cameras when the feeders don't need to be filled can seem a little ....well...........wasteful .Last edited by Smart; 07-11-2010, 11:02 AM.
