Gonna go another week until they let Phil go.

Yep 2 hours episode next week. The saddest thing I have ever seen play out on tv. Kinda amazed that sitting here watching it is almost like dealing with the loss of one of my own family.

              Two other side notes.....

Sig used to be my favorite captain but he's slowly becoming my least favorite. What's got into him this year?......the drama and his selfishness seems manufactured this year...usually they work their tail off and everybody is one big happy family.

Andy talking about "demoting" Mikey Fortner from the "captain in training" because he couldn't catch the vertical hanging rope on that bouy was about as drama laced as it comes....and then saying.....Maybe Mikey's hour of captaining the boat went to his head because he couldn't make the catch ......of course Andy didn't take into account Mikey was busting his tail trying to make the dang near impossible catch?? Come on now Andy...you sound like a dumb***. I bet Andy couldn't have caught that bouy with 50 throws coming down from the wheel house.

I have no problem with the way they are drawing out Phil's death. This is the biggest loss the fleet has seen since the show's inception. I don't think they have been at all distasteful and even found it funny when he kept motioning the boys to give him extra ice cubes agains the Dr's orders.

Jake is a punk, he needs to take a page from his buddy Northwestern Jake's playbook and sober up!

Other side note: Edgar looks like he is done and Sig doesn't seem to really care. Sad indeed.

The guy with the big grey beard is my least favorite captain. I can't think of his name right now, but I think Wild Bill when I see him. He has no clue, at least compared to the others out there.

The Hilstrands used to be my favorite boat but the more they run their mouth the more i'd like to see someone whip their azz good. I'll be willing to bet that Mike guy could get it done pretty quick.

Watching last night was with Capt. Phil awake and coherent in the hospital sure brings back memories (not so good) of my father when he had his brain aneurism (sp). He was unable to talk since they had him with an EG tube.

Sure is emotional and not sure if I could watch next week's episode without losing it. I truly miss my father and he passed away Dec. 22, 99 and was in the ICU Nov. 20th til that date.

I've seen and heard all about the "Black Gold" show that is filmed out here in Midland. If "Deadliest Catch" contains half of the b.s. that is made up out here on Black Gold, then it's a TON of manufactured drama for ratings purposes.

Yeah, it's a sad deal that Phil died......but given his lifestyle choices it's not really a surprise and I wouldn't remotely compare it to losing a family member. I have lost immediate family members.....so to compare the two is comical.

..so seriously what did you gain by posting that comment?.....a sense of superiority over those that said it reminded them of losing their parents or loved ones to a similar situation??
