I knew there would be some experts that had issues with it. If you've got the extra money, the land, the skills, the creativity and wanted a unique getaway (second) home that's a step up from parking a camper out there...this rocks! Period. I'll see if they can find out what they invested in this stupid idea.

Very cool, but I don't think it would be very cost effective compared to conventional framing. Just the cost of the crane would far exceed the costs of frame labor. The framing material costs would probably be cheaper than the containers as well. I think this was probably done for the "cool" factor which I give an A+. If he owns a construction company and got the containers for free and had his own crane, it would be a cost effective method. Also location would be a HUGE factor.

      Very cool though!

Didn't El Capitan build something like this a few years ago? I think he posted pictures before the big Crash

Depends on what size...I just called on some that were $2500 delivered. 8.5 foot tall by 40ft long. Painted in choice of color.

I actually like the design, but I'm gonna have to say I can do it cheaper starting from scratch.

I'd do it too if someone told me I couldn't.....
