    Yep.
Looks to me like the container money was a waste.
It's covered from the inside and outside. Not much purpose in that.

I have a buddy that did the same thing. He was a train engineer and bought 2 box cars. Set them on a slab and built his house between them. The end rooms are the box cars and when you drive by you can still see the Santa Fe emblems on the side. He has lived there for 20 years.

X2, unless you get the containers free.

I don't see how that is cheaper than framing it up like a metal building with C perlin and making whatever size or shape you want.

very nice. But unpractical it would seem. As mentioned above, so much of the container is discarded that i believe it to be more economical to start from the ground up.....unless the containers were free. Even then you are looking at a lot of hassel.

I sent these pics to my step dad. He works in shipping at Dow in Freeport...said their used containers run about $2000.

I think on a one story deal, it's kind of a waste of a container, unless you got it
for free, versus framing yourself... but to cut all of that steel out, took a lot of
time, and a lot of consumables if they used a plasma cutter....

those multi story ones look very nice though..

I like it, but I thought this was prolly about somebody making a hut from wood shipping crates. In Mexico, if you give then two sheets of plywood, they can build a room onto the house.
