I have one on the way I will post up when it gets here.....
Let me know how it turns out. I am going on an Elk hunt in Sept and was wondering how I was going to be ranging for the shot by myself. That could be my answer Man this gets expensive. I just bought a Badlands 2200 and a bunch of new camo and now it looks like this could be on my list too. Not to mention new arrows and broadheads....I bet stop before I start adding it all up
I have used a Nikon 440 and wish I hadn't had sold it. I now use the Leupold RXIII and it's just as good.
What I wouldn't do is buy one that only limits you to 100 yds. My reasoning is this......as bow hunters we won't shoot anything at 100yds so we fell like 100 yds is sufficient. If you ever stalk, let's say elk out west, you range one bedded at 120yds but your max range is 40yds you can range to a bush/ tree/ rock that is at 40yds or less from the elk. You will then know if you get to that spot and the elk is still bedded you're inside your effective range.
You can get the same style range finder as the Archer's Choice version from Nikon but ranges out to 500yds for essentially the same price.
I have the Nikon Pro Staff 550. Seems to be reliable and accurate. However, it doesn't have the arc view feature. Does anyone know at what range and or heighth of your stand that true ranges are effected?
bushnell 1000 arc. I bought it from cabelas and got a pocket knife and 10x binoculars free. The binocs are great, some of the best I have ever had and the knife while looking at it you think cheap holds and edge better than most and stays razor sharp
