Low in right at the elbow. With that said hogs are probably the toughest animal I have ever shot. Some shots that will easily net a deer would have pigs walking around days later.

My recent shot on 152 lb boar.

Took a 152 lb boar this past weekend.

I estimate Was a lung & heart shot. Close to elbow. Above and back couple inches.
My bow is not that fast - shooting about 225 fps with a 382 grain arrow.
Was About a 22 yard shot.
        Muzzy razor trick broad head.
The Broad head did not exit. Allot of arrow was hanging out.
Could have got 1 or 2 lungs not sure. And probably the heart.
        No blood trail at all.
I was worried - it was lost.
While waiting to track him -I found this post with picture of vitals and I knew my shot was good.
Hog only made it 25 yards.
No arrow & couldn't find it. He Probably rubbed it out on a tree.
There was only a tiny Blood trail 5 feet from the down hog.

They are just tough creatures. thick skin, fat, & hair to soak up blood.
But blow out the heart and 1 or 2 lungs and its over pretty quick.

Don't need ultra fast bow or huge Kinetic energy.
Just need to hit the right stuff.
