i'm surprised no one has said the pricing is also due to the new OS coming out in summer, i believe they aref gonna have a tether according to USA Today article. The tether option is going to be an extra 20a month... so an unlimited plan 25 plus another 20 for tethering...guess they are trying to stop all the Jailbreaking. if you have a computer tethered to the iphone and start using ALOT of data like I do, then that is where they are gonna get you..

I need an intervention.I wouldn't use the term abuser for anyone who wasn't violating the terms of their contract. You are a heavy data user though, and I'm guessing that what providers are looking at is if they cap the lower percent of people that are consuming 50% of the bandwidth (my guesstimate for example purposes only) then the other 96% are going to have radically better service at a discounted rate. Pretty common for network providers, hosting providers, etc.

they are not worried about the other 96% of users having any better service...they only want to free up more pipe to be able to give 'more pipe' to other users....literally and metaphorically..

yes, we all will end up finding new ways to use this or that more often given the change, mostly...that is just how it is...not saying you are a bad person or a good person because of your data usage...just saying that I use the snot out of mine all day long, upping pics and this and that but it seems my usage is not close to yours....it is what it is...
