What does the brothers and sisters of the great Green Screen think about this one? IMO, that beating was totally uncalled for. I would like to here some of our LEO brothers weigh in on this one.

OH WOW! That dude didn't resist or make any kind of threatening move. Was the LEO just PO'd because the guy got out of his car?

I agree with Leon. That officer definately has some anger management issues!

Out of control LEO. Prosecute. If a civilian did that to a LEO, he would be dead.

Now there's a cop that needs to get layed, or get layed off. Yes anger issues for sure.

Would like to know what happened before, but does not look to good for the LEO.

Now that I think about it, I would gladly take a couple lumps on the ol brain-housing group for a couple million. That's almost like hitting the lotto!

Just from what we can see, definitely over the top and the officer needs to find a new job (not in LE).

The guy had tattoos so obviously he's a deviant and needed to be beaten.

Seriously though, that cop wasn't just hitting him with that baton...he was putting a lot of force behind that stick. And those things are hard. I'm surprised bones weren't broken. I'm interested to see the outcome of this. As a civilian, I'd think if the cop thought he was in that much danger then he should have gotten backup and waited for it to arrive. But now he's going to be persecuted and the police agency is probably going to have to write a very big check.

I will agree that from watching the video it doesn't look good. However, there is two sides to every story and I'd like to see the entire video and hear the audio. I don't like when they show bits a pieces of the dashcam video. It doesn't show the part where the passenger was tased and it skips parts while the driver is exiting. Still, I just can't justify the use of force based off what I see.

Maybe he was trying out the new Nerf battons that the force accidentally ordered?

sure hard to gather any info from such a short clip that doesn't show the entire traffic stop. But just like any other job, for every 100 officers there will be one or two bad apples.
