iPhone question...not app related

if I could figure out how to get it back to 3.1.2 and not lose my pics, apps, notes, etc...I would be on it like white on rice.....

I never got my phone to tether, I must have been doing something wrong...right when I attempted to do try again I figured I would update thinking I might need a new file or something...then POW...no worky on 3.1.3.....DOH! and no backups of 3.1.2...was overwritten with the immediate backup of 3.1.3.....DOH! DOH!

Yeah the old trick was usin iTunes offline to revert. But they fixed it so you have to get newest version. Unless someone released a cracked version of iTunes that doest do a version check to the server. That I feel would be a little harder to do and you would have to emulate the server locally to get it to work most likely.

I'm sitting outside my daughters vball gym tethered, surfing around on my macbook pro, booking airline tickets for a trip I have coming up. I use the tether a lot more than I thought I would.

Hehe, good point, Billy. However, when the 17" Road Warrior is within reach it is so much easier.

I use MyWi for the tethering. It cost $9.99 but it's worth $99.99 if you ask me.

in settings under phone TTY is on. unless you have a tty that you talk to deaf people you dont need it on

so can I jailbreak my 3.1.3 3gs with a macinthebox as a one off and still be able to use it as normal syncing on my pc's?
