Now on my phone I see next to the battery life indicator a symbol that looks like an old desk top phone in light blue.

What does that indicate and where is it in the settings etc????

I found out too late that you were not supposed to update to 3.1.3 if you wanted the jailbreak...and then I don't think you can break a 3gs with 3.1.3 anyway....

read somewhere a macinthebox with itunes can do a 3.1.3 3g....

in due time I am sure someone will finger it out....

I saw one the other day the employed something along the lines of vonage type online phoning, originally for a second line scenario that someone has gotten on an ipod....so all you need is internet service and not the phone part....can prolly do the same with the ipad....

they need to hurry up and come out with a jailbreak for 3.1.3 I can't believe I accidently upgraded it one day and now I don't have tethering anymore. AT&T just needs to let Apple allow tethering to begin with.
