I have eaten at Outback a lot over the years and I love the ribeye there. I have had two tough steaks there, but they were quick to replace it and make amends. I think it is very good for what you pay.

I went to the Outback in Pensacola Florida and it sucked...The inside of the place smelled stank and the steak was aweful...

Happens everywhere I've made it a habit to eat. It's totally common for the food quality to vary. Vendors change and cooks rotate in and out.
        No different than any business.

I can't choke a piece of meat down from either Saltgrass or Outback. I don't want any of that seasoning crap on my meat. Texas Roadhouse is my choice.

            I agree outback sucks.
TLC on the other hand has one of the best steaks I always get the Mesquite grilled sirloin, always is really good.

Would have agreed with you up until last night. I can't tell you how many ribeye's I have had or how many fillet's my wife has had from the one in Conroe and they have always been good.

I can understand the "everyone has a bad day or it was a new cook" deal but that doesn't make me feel any better about the manager trying to convince me that a sirloin in a fillet.

I'll admit that Outback has definately gone down some over the last few years.

They used to have grilled center cut pork chops that were great. They also used to have the Drover's Platter which was a grilled chicken breast and half rack of baby backs. Both of these entrees used to be around 10 bucks. Neither are on the menu anymore.

However, I can't say the Saltgrass or Roadhouse are any better. I've seen similar drops in quality at both of these places as well.

I don't really think any of these places are bad, you just get what you pay for. If you want a prime cut steak, its gonna cost more that $15.

I rarely go out for Steak, prefer to cook it myself.

On special occasion I go to the Taste of Texas at I-10 and the Beltway. If you're anywhere in the Houston area it's worth the trip.

It’s a very good steak with a meat counter to pick out your own cut, wine room and TEXAS HISTORY all over the walls.

Steak at home is always better. I'd rather fire up the kingsford than try to find a good steak in the restraunt.

The steaks that have to much seasoning or those really big seeds as seasoning seem to be ruint. I like a simple tasty steak. Med Rare.

Outback was our favorite place for several years. We have noticed the gradual decline of the quality of their steaks to the point that we have stopped going.

I am a sirloin guy. I like saltgrass the best with Roadhouse and Outback close 2nd. Outback has always been good for me with great customer service.

I've tried Outback several times and have never cared for them.
