I am not a big "out to eat steak" kinda guy. You can usually make better at home in 30 minutes. i really have no input on steak houses.
i have to agree again.....i have had a $100 kobe steak in Vegas and the Outback special from Outback for $9.95 and the Outback was better IMO but a 2 lb. sirloin @ 1 1/2" cut from my meat market in CC and grilled medium rare @ home by me, takes the cake every time

You may also want to check out Perry's Steakhouse, Hudson on the Bend, Roaring Fork and Jeffrey's.

Ruth's Chris would be my suggestion too. You never know who'll pop in at that place. The Gov, senators, movie stars, even Mr. Bubba might drop in for a gimmie ribeye.

If you're a UT football fan, see my good friend the manager Gary, he's all UT all the time.

Eddies V's if he wants to go downtown and "see" austin. Austin Land and Cattle has one of the best steaks, but i wouldnt go there with just another guy....dark candle lit atmosphere. Lamberts has my favorite steak in austin. It doesnt sound good, but it is AMAZING. Its called the mustard crusted brown sugar Ribeye. I have yet to taste a steak that touches it.

Well we ended up at Austin L&C. Yes 2 guys in a dark lit restaurant.....drinking shiner bocks, scotch, and bourbon........I'm secure in my manhood bm2134!

Great steak....I had the 22oz bone in ribeye. One of the top 3 ribeyes I've had in my life.

              Thanks for all the input!
