Is anyone familiar with the ranch right across the creek, Sabino Ranch? They used to rent out a house called Cypress House which my family and I used to stay in. That ranch is loaded with deer! Before they opened the Blue Hole back up to the public, we would have it all to ourselves when we stayed at the Cypress House. I spent many an evening down there as the sun was setting watching the fireflies as I bathed with a bar of Irish Spring. My wife and I would also sneak down there late at night when everyone was asleep.

In the middle of summer, I find myself soaking in this green pool on the North fork of the Guadalupe. No sounds, no lights....just the river and critters in this valley. Axis really start barking around 10pm

The Blue Hole is actually right smack dab in the middle of Wimberley. Do a search on 'The Blue Hole, Wimberley' which should lead you right to it. I'm assuming you are staying on the Blanco?
