Square Toe or Normal Toe

Cavazos, in Mercedes Texas, makes some nice customs. I need a new pair and it's probably time to head south for my next pair. Leaning on shark lowers and a semi sylish leather tube upper with roper toes. I really want shark skin boots...since I've spent a large part of my life offshore in various capacities. Tough skin, probably a bit tougher than elephant hide.

I have a pair of Noconas and another pair of Justins....both pairs are probably 30 years old now, during the days they were made here at home. Resoled both several times, going rubber for both. They are still decent boots but I have cuts in them that can't really be repaired.

The Luchesse Boots that I see listed (Square Toe) do not have the Ostrich that wrap all the way around the backside of the boot. I want full Ostrich on the bottom.

Purchase Made

After spending an hour in Cavender's last night, and probably 3 hours on the net doing research, I walked out with a pair of Larry Mahan Full Quill Ostrich Square-Toe Boots.

After all the reviews I read about Anderson Bean Boots, I really wanted to see what they had to offer. Unfortunately they didn't have any in Full-Quill Ostrich at Cavender's. I am sure this is one of many purchases I'll continue to make, I think I am addicted to boots.

Round toes all the way here. I've been wearing the same pair of Ariats on a daily basis for oh... 4 years I think. I've changed the insoles out several times, and they are still the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned including tennis shoes and work boots.

Square toe or round toe really does not matter just as long as its not camel toe.

Squar toe all the way, it takes some getting used to but once you wear them, you cant go back. Andersen Beans are great, only thing is the sole is really thin.

Real Cowboys wear round toes. When you hit a fresh pile while shuffling your feet square toes make it pile up in front like a bulldozer. Round toes slice through it like a keel on a boat!

Been boot-n since early jr high. Pointies were not norm back then and considered to be square. And rounds weren't around much (so to speak ). Got ya confused yet?

I've got pointies now, but my toes are still square. Its whats inside that matters .
