i am a round toe person myself, everytime i put on a square toe boot, i think i should be kicking field goal in 1976.. they just aint my thing, i think if you get square toes you have to get one of those shiney belts, watch out..

Square toes look good if they don't have the double stitched poop shoveling lip that all seem to have. However, I prefer normal toe.

I have several pairs of both but my favorites right now are my Lucchese full quill square toes.

I have a really wide foot and the squares are much more comfortable and easier to find that fit me.

I haven't tried on a pair of square toe boots that were as comfortable as a good-fitting pair of round toe boots (in extra wide size for my foot). The square toe boots that I tried on are plenty wide, but all of them were too shallow in the toe area. They rubbed on the top of my toes. Round toe boots don't do that to me.

I tried the square toes on thinking that they would feel better on my wide feet, but they didn't. I was prepared to buy a pair if they felt good even though I just don't like the looks of them. They aren't dressy-looking to me at all. They look more like Dingos, like somebody said above. I'll stick with regular ol' round toe boots.

ive got a square pair of tony llamas, Lucchese 2000's, and a p air of larry mahans. theyre all really comfortable, but the lucchese 2000's are the most comfortable, not because of the toe, but the sole, and theyre ostrich so theyre really light

I think Pablo Honey makes a great point. Folks have been wearing the round and even very pointed for decades and square seemed to have just popped back on the scene. Odds are, they'll pop back out.

Do round and wear them for a long time.

But then again, there's just something about a Dingo man!

Old school cowboy here. Don't like the square toe and will be glad when the fashion fad passes. It's gettin mighty hard to find a decent pair of round toes these days.

The square toe is acually a throw back to the original cowboy boot which was derived from the calvary boot after the war between the states. But I still don't like 'em

Round toe hands down...need to pick me up another pair of Ariats actually...heard about some place in Houston that has a ton of used boots, might try there as well and keep the pair of Ariats I have nice and polished. Anyone know the name of that place, I think I heard about it on ABC13 last week.

                              Some in the 60's too.
                              No fashion statement here kids.

A good pair of Women's boots are hard to find. I'm hard on boots and women's boots don't hold up like Men's do. I wear my Ariats everyday, ride in them wear them to work and throw some polish on them and go out dancin in em. I believe that boots should only come in 2 colors, brown and black. The ones I have now, the top half is pink but I love my Ariats, they're the best boots I've owned and I really like the square toe. My son also has a pair of square toe Ariats.
