My lab also has loud stinky farts, the other night we were in bed and we had to pull the blankets over our head just to get away from the smell, but I started getting worried that my boyfriend was going to rip one.

We get probiotics to sprinkle on her food from our vet. It only costs a few bucks and works very well.

My boss just stopped by my desk and asked if I was okay. I had tears streaming down my face from laughter. This is too "stinkin" funny.

My bride's little dustmop cuts one every now and then. They're just a little squeak and MOST of the time they don't stink. If you start laughing at him (and it's hard not to), he'll look at you with that "what the hell are you laughing at" look!

That's what I was thinkin'. And taking the whole "no honey it was the dog" thing to a whole new level by starting a thread about it. And to have Smart and Genevieve in on the whole thing...

              truly sickening.

My 10 month old Lacy can knock a buzzard out of the sky with his farts. One night he was laying by our bed and he let loose with a loud one. My wife immediately jumped up and bolted out of the room!

It is most horrible gut-wrenching stench imaginable.....but funny, too!!!

Try having about 256# of farting Rotties in your house and you can imagine the smell. Some are silent, some are loud, but all stink and stink to high heaven. I have tried a lot of remidies, but have found none that work.

Reading this thread made me laugh so hard I started to shed tears!

Our other handler has a dog that had the same problem. He would clear a building very quickly (trust me, I know). After several tries on food changes, yogurt, and other brands of gas pills he started a pill from Petco (don't know the name, but it's their brand, he just calls it "fart pills") and it has worked wonders. He says he still hears the gas at home, but no odor, and I haven't smelled that dog in months. When you drive around in a vehicle with a dog 8 hours a day you do notice, trust me.

                      Worth a try.

I laughed so hard when I saw this thread... I have a 6mo. old blue heeler and he is a terrorist in my book... It is 4 or 5 times a day that my wife stands up screaming and wafting her arms around like shes crazy!!! We feed him HIGH DOLLAR all natural dog food too, I dont know what to do we have switched his food once and the fish oil just makes it worse!!

That may very well explain the mystery 'spice' on my eggs this morning.....

one of my boyfriend's dogs likes to lay on top of the vent in the bedroom and fart when the AC or heat turns on, I guess the dog likes to make sure everyone smells it. blah
