      food for thought

before making a leap of faith , I would first consider your professions (you and the Mrs) and research the areas of TX or other Southern states that will help you succeed vocationally and financially

nothing more demoralizing than moving to a geographic area that does not suit your occupation

once your narrow it down to a certain city or area, then find the most affordable housing in the best school districts

I have 4 kids. 15, 9, 3, 2, I think we are in a great area. Close enough to houston if you get a job there but then Greenspoint is where i work nothing but oil companies there. Woodlands which is 5mins north of me is growing as well with more oil companies. We have huntville state park just north of here, lake conroe 30mins just norht of here. Lake livingston 1hr away. Galveston an hour away. But still out of the big city in the burbs but close enough to the contry as well. I live just off of FM2920 here in spring.

I am in Greenville and it is a good town. The schools were down, but are on the rise. I would suggest either Rowlett or Rockwall, both have excellent schools and you can get acreage lots in the country.
