Every time that it's legal. That's about 90% of the time. Even if I'm only going down to the mail box.

Q: What's the first rule in winning a gun fight?

    A: Have a gun.

Like others said, I refuse to be a victim. I will not go down without a fight.

A good holster for when you're wearing a tucked in shirt is a belly band. Just make sure you wear a tee-shirt underneath or it could rub you a little raw. At least that's been my experience.
I get mine at the gun shows but I think that Cabelas and Cheaper that Dirt carry them.

I always have a gun within reach wherever I go. Sometimes it's concealed, sometimes it isn't.

At the end of the day what I would really like to see is each and every one of you that possess a handgun and carry it for the purpose of self defense. I would implore you to look into FORMAL TRAINING in the tactical use and employment of a handgun, one thing we are very fortunate to have are some of the very best instructors in the world right here in Texas ...

I can tell you without a doubt that when the time is at hand its not seconds that count its Hundredths of a second and things happen so fast when its over you will be asking yourself what just happened and you would not believe that you will react with your current level of training, sorry but its just a mental default thats built in to us a humans.

              I would reccomend...

              Paul Howe... http://www.combatshootingandtactics.com/

If somebody here had a modern weapons range that could host a training event and we had the people to fill a roster we could contact Magpul to see if they would conduct one of their new highly sought after pistol courses, of for that matter contact Larry Vickers and see if he would conduct a class.

For those of you in the San Antonio Area...
              International Training Inc. http://www.itiwsi.com/training_calendar.html

If you want a adventure out of state.. U.S. Training Center "BlackWater"....

Until I got laid off last week, I carried in the console of the car, even though according to policy, it was forbidden. Concealed is concealed, and my personal vehicle is just that, mine. Locked, you have no access but through me.

I have no markings on my vehicle that suggests I'm a right-wing, pistol packing, rifle shooting nut, just a bowhunter with an affinity for the TD legacy (TD sticker above my TBH Member sticker).

Having said that, I usually carry 75% of the time, including at church. 100% of the time, it's in the console if I'm in town, and on me. Otherwise, I've got a 20g loaded with Rifled Slug with #4 buckshot (x4) loaded and ready in my bedroom, right next to my BUGs. It's a matter of perspective. Where we live in Lubbock, it's almost better to not carry around your house, as to not draw attention to yourself and potential hazards (rentals with stay-at-home folks all the time, watching your every move).

Next month, assuming new job, will be upgrade of the carry weapon, to provide a little more concealability and make carry possible 100% of the time. I shoot IDPA on the weekends, and practice when possible, the techniques taught in Magpul Dynamics videos and others that Tuffbroadhead has mentioned previously. It is essential to know how to use your weapon when the "ball drops" -- stress induced situations.
