Awesome finds. These arrowhead threads are some of my favorite on TBH. I'm just starting to get into point hunting and it is a blast.

Really cool find. My dad has a place near Kerrville and we found a few that a professor said were from an atlatyl. Are arrowheads and such valuable other than personal?

Yes they are, depending on what shape they are in and the type. They can go into the thousands easy.

It sounds like you got yourself a honey hole...post some pics!

Thanks for the look everyone. My wife went back with the kids on Monday and I went for just a little bit yesterday and located a different area on the hillside that produced a couple of points in only 25 minutes of digging. We have also found broke up pieces of pottery which is a goodn indication of a settlement rather than just passing through.

Nice find. I have found quite a few in the last 20 years, do you know of any good books that can help identify the age and name of them? (or websites)

Books : A Field Guide to Stone Artifacts of Texas Indians, by Tom Hester and Ellen Sue Turner (A new 3rd edition should be out shortly so you may want to wait). Do not get Overstreet's guide, it is worthless.

                    Websites: Texasarrowheads.com and Texaspoints.com
