I think it was two... maybe three years ago I shot 2 deer and a few hogs all with the same arrow and the same Muzzy... with the same blades. Resharpened them, spin test it, all was straight and spun well, and continued to put meat on the ground.
Glad you recovered your deer. Bad stuff happens, but glad this one had a happy ending.
i have to say that i use mine multiple times to no avail. the only time i have had any problems is when i shot an elk and it cut through his ribs and one of the blades bent ever so slightly. other than that I LOOOOOVE THEM!!!!!!!!! THE ELK I SHOT THIS YEAR WAS A FRONTAL SHOT BETWEEN THE BREAST BONE AND THE SHOULDER BLADE AND IT LEFT A HOLE I COULD PUT MY HAND IN.
What wouldn't have happened? He wouldn't have killed the deer that he made a perfect shot on?
Of all the archery products out there, Rage has the most apologists when there is even the slightest mention of their inadequacy! IMHO
I'm a Magnus Stinger/Buzzcut apologist, myself!
I have to agree with ShockValue in what he said. IMO Rage BHs have to be the most complained about BHs out there. Having said that, Rage BHs have to be one of the most defended too. Seems to me there is something going on with this BH.

Reason: grammar
I had bought into all the Rage hype until this year when I shot a buck @ 17yds quartering away and only got about 2" penetration. I could see that the arrow defected upon entry by the changed angle. Shot with Matthews DXT @ 64#. Made me sick. Not in shoulder but high & back of rib cage due to being up 25 feet in stand and quartering away. Changed to fixed blade - cut on contact.
Well, I guess everyone has their preference and reasoning for the broad head they use. The Rage has never failed for me. As far as people claiming they only got 2" of penetration, I find that hard to believe unless it was directly into a bone. I have heard of rubber heads getting that much penetration at close range. Just ask the guy that shot a cow with a blunt and the cow walked off with his arrow.(explain that to the rancher).
