Well, I finally joined the club....

Although not one I wanted to join. There have been lots of threads about thefts on deer leases the past month and I have felt pretty lucky that I haven't had that problem considering where my lease is in east Texas. But I got hit between the last two Saturdays. I had two double ladder stands taken. For two years we haven't had a problem but in the last six months a pipeline was put in and timber was cut off the lease which left things a little more open and more vulnerable to go around the gates. Of course I called the sheriff's office and had a deputy constable come out and take the report and I have pretty good idea who might have been involved. But anyway, I had the unfortunate duty of letting my lease guys know that two of their stands were stolen. I told the constable that he better catch them before I do. Of course when he left my house he had to go investigate another theft at another lease just down the road.

Those peeps aren't in the same mind set as us. They don't see that stealing someone elses property is wrong. They were raised wrong. My dad would of whooped my A** if i had ever did something like that. Sorry for the rant but i feel that it just aint right. We all work to hard to be able to afford these items and frankly im just tired of seeing it happen..... How would they feel if we stole from their mom? Just sayin..

My guys are like me- hard working to earn what we have and to have some POS to come in and steal what we work hard to get just makes me want to take the law in my own hands.

It's sad when you need game cams on your feeders and your stands. What is it with these jack arses.....you should watch Craigslist though, you may be able to find your stuff. Seems like thats where it all ends up.
