Good question. I am interested to see the answers because I do not know.

I change only when my ATA length increases or loose draw weight.

Just took my bowtech in for new strings and cables and the shop recommends every two years.

They should last a while as long as it doesn't dry out. My string lasted 7 years before I had to change it.

Two years is probably a good rule of thumb, but I measure the axle to axle to determine new strings and cables. Even the non stretch will change and they all will. Or if any signs of wear (I haven't had any signs of wear) - a safety issue if they do wear.

I have heard every 2500 shots is a good rule of thumb.

My string has never been changed. It's been on for at least 12 years. I wax it regularly and have had no issues. Knock on wood.

2 years or 1500 shots. Small investment for liability and consistency.

Who keeps up with the shots fired in your bow?

Recommended change is 2000, Shot count fired is a pain to keep up with but if you expect to have your bow perform like it should then recommended procedures will always help this happen, just my.02 worth. I change my strings every year.
