I like to see rattlesnakes. Have let them go on their way on big ranches. They will usually “run” given the chance. Love the way they (sometimes) will let you know they are there. The colors on a fresh shed one are really beautiful.
But here on our small place they get killed. Family, friends and pets come first.
I’m definitely not afraid of them. My phobia is all needles. And I hate rats.
I have some otherwise tough hunting friends that are somehow scared to death of snakes. And my country girl wife panics from a photo of a snake. Makes no sense.
Not sure what place they have in my little eco system.
We have a lot of big non-venomous snakes here that I feel control the rodents.
