What are the chances they'll hit me? Is it a guarantee that they'll wipe me out too, since so many others are getting hit in N Texas? Or...... is there still a good (or any)chance they'll miss mine?
I'd say pretty good , I haven't heard of anyone in our area that hasn't had to spray for them this year, at least if they wanted to make a hay crop.
If you see any, and i mean any, call your local ag hand and have em come spray your field. I've seen em destroy hay patches before and it's devastating in the amount of time they can do it.
I use liquid Sevin. I just sprayed my hay field for them last week. That was my 2nd spraying this year. Never had to spray before October before. My dad has them at his house in is regular old pasture. He doesn't have anything planted & they are just eating his grass.
Just walked through my Klein Grass hay field and they are everywhere. They start out tiny and grow voraciously. By the time they are easy to see, it is almost too late.
