i had one crawl up my boxers while i was sleeping. i woke up and moved and it stung me in the leg. thank goodness i woke up before he made his way to the jewels.

i put levi garret on the sting and it helps with the pain.

Don't know what type we have but let me tell you, it ain't no wasp sting, feels like someone running a hot poker through you. Been bit probably 6-8 times.

Not allergic to any stings but I can usually taste a bad taste for a couple of days after getting hit by one. Best remedy for stings I found was moist tobacco. Kills any type sting in a couple of seconds, you can even use cigarettes.

Never heard about the horse apples but split open green horse apples are great for roaches. Scorpions usually show up in the house after a dry spell, probably looking for water. Best insectacide I found ,was a number 10 shoe.

You guys are lucky... I've had prolly 20 of them in the house since May... They're starting to disappear due to the weather... when it was stinging hot outside, they were on the porch and coming in the house through the cracks of the water pipes... Mom was none too happy with me... Sprayed several times, no avail.

Finally bought the Demon stuff, and they disappeared... go figure. Found that Spectracide spray in the black pump bottles works wonders on the smaller ones, sprayed directly... and if you coat the perimeter with it, they will not pass for about a 2-4 weeks, unless it rains.... doesn't work well with rain.

Demon I've heard works wonders, and it should for how much it costs.

No biggie. I got popped on the ring finger about 2 weeks ago and it hurt for, maybe 20 minutes. Less intense than a red wasp, for sure.

Probably depends on the individual, how sensitive.

We had rash of them at the camp house this year. When it was really hot in July and we were running the A/C they would come in the house at night and be all over the floor. I put out some raid bombs when I left and next time I came back, there would be a bunch of dead ones on the floor.

I have been hit twice in the same week and that was no fun but it didn't die from it. Got the sweats and a bad headache but that was it. Stay clear and luck this season.

Stepped on one bare foot about 28yrs ago. Like a red wasp that last a little longer that I remember.
A friend of mine that lets me hunt on his place in Throckmorton has em' BAD. You dont dare take off your shoes until an inspection has been done everywhere. And this is a new house, by no means a makeshift camp shack.

ALWAYS a few in the bathtubs, usually dead

My house is on clay, so no scorpions here, but the lease is sandy, so lots.
Have you used Demon/CyperWP/Masterline around a blind? Do they stink? I would guess they would be pretty effective deer repellants...which unfortunately brings me back to the horse apples...
I would hate to have to use the witch-in-law's solution with the bois d'arcs, but do you know if they work?
