According to a study by Stephen F. Austin State University, there are not many bears in east texas. I would go with a cow, but pigs will surprise ya.

That same hog destroyed 2 of our other feeders. Those are bite marks of course!

The slide was about 3" wide and 6" long.

The control box had been pushed up against the funnel so no corn could come out, and the cover was open (but everything was still connected).

It looked, to me, like something had been hitting the underside of the feeder (which bumped it up against the funnel), then stood up and was pawing the control box (the muddy slide mark on the side). The underside of the control box was also muddy.

The control box is about, what, 5' off the ground (it's the plastic 40 gallon Remington feeder).

Think it was a Deer? A really big pig? I don't have a game camera, so it's all speculation at this point, but something definitely pushed the control box up, there was about 30 pounds of corn left in the feeder.

Either way, there are tracks all around the area, so I should see some action this year, I can hardly wait.
You know, if you had a trail cam up on the feeder you would know what happened .
Even if you get the Moultrie D40, it still does it's job. Only complaint i have is the images are not to the standard im wanting. But it does work and pictures are not that bad when using it on high quality.
